Prank Phone Call – Matt Lucas on BBC London as ‘Paul Winter’

Just got this off twitter – robert popper and Matt Lucas doing a funny. I specially edited the beginning bit – supposed to be about measles, but I ask you… dodge city. Anyway, Popper is supposed to go on as parvinder, an extra from Slumdog Millionaire, but last minute changes his mind…

It goes really sour towards the end… I think he new he’s been punk’d.

But that photo – he looks so weird – it says he’s interviewing Bruce Golding –
~~first, who’s Bruce Golding? why is that an accomplishment?~~
secondly, he’s not interviewing, an arm is
thirdly, doesn’t he look odd, the way his head is resting. I’m not saying any more about it.

Turns out Bruce Golding is the PM of Jamaica. Turns out I’m a disgutsing ignorant pillock – my sincereset apologies!

Nick Mohammed’s 4arters and a peculiar BBC NEWS story

If you haven’t already found it, check out Nick Mohammed’s Quarters on Radio 4 – its on the Iplayer and very good. Mohammed is an ex footlights guy, who does character comedy. I met him in a toilet.

Anyway, importantly for this post, if you go to his episode 3 here on the iplayer – as they are automatically edited or whatever, the beginning catches the end of a BBC NEWS report… and I shit you not – this is at the beginning:

What on earth was that news story about? Answers on a postcard please! By in a toilet, I mean we pissed within the same trough. I thank you.

BBC Radio 4 – funnies in the mist

Just thought I’d point out two quite funny moments on BBC Radio 4.

First off, a documentary about recycling, where the guy may as well just be Rhys Darby. I took this little snippet from the end cos it still makes me laugh.

When I cut that bit out I didn’t realise just how much the interviewer is endeared by him… theres a sneaky ‘Oh you’ in there like a lover looking for some milk.

And next, straight after, was a documentary about parrots – not funny on its own, but near the beginning theres a bit where the presented seems to lose his mind trying to get a bird to talk live on air…
